As demand for sustainable and regenerative farming practices continues to grow, businesses across the globe face increasing pressure to support their claims with robust certification.
To set a clear benchmark for rigour and credibility in regenerative agriculture, Regenagri has developed a comprehensive certification programme, trusted by a growing number of global brands.
The certification promotes the highest standards in regenerative agriculture, offering a stringent approach to traceability, due diligence and data integrity across the food and textile supply chains.
The Regenagri certification programme is a multi-layered system with integrity, rigour and continuous improvement at its heart.
Designed to support regenerative agriculture at scale, the certification programme covers both food and textile supply chains from farms to finished products. It follows a stringent process and commitment to data-backed assurance at every step.
As the foundation of regenerative supply chains, Regenagri certification begins at farm level with a comprehensive application and due diligence review. The process is outlined below:
Applicants begin their journey by submitting an application, which is then thoroughly reviewed by the Regenagri team. This includes verification of eligibility criteria, including a strict non-deforestation policy and a risk assessment that evaluates environmental and social factors.
Depending on the risk level, applicants undergo a periodic evaluation, and those failing to meet the baseline standards, due to legal violations or breaches of environmental and social standards, will not be permitted to join the programme.
Eligible applications are passed on to an independent third-party certification body for review and to complete certification contracts. This phase includes the following steps:
The verified data are submitted to Regenagri for a final integrity review. The data is analysed against scientific regional statistics and any inconsistencies or gaps in the information are addressed in collaboration with the certification board, before the final Regenagri report and certificate are issued.
After certification, farms must commit to annual audits and meet the given continuous improvement targets to remain certified.
Beyond the farm, Regenagri applies the same level of stringency to the entire supply chain. Certification begins at the first processing stage and continues through to the finished product.
Any organisation involved in buying, selling, processing or manufacturing Regenagri-certified products must be certified under the Regenagri Chain of Custody standard. This model requires:
This system is designed to ensure materials are certified and to avoid one of the biggest risks in certified supply chains; double selling. This is when more certified products are sold than were produced. Regenagri prevents this by using digital systems to track and reconcile volumes and ensure certified content can be traced accurately to its source.
To further reinforce the credibility of the supply chain certification, the following additional measures are implemented:
In today’s marketplace, greenwashing is not an option. Leading brands are demanding proven traceability and integrity of data. Regenagri’s high standards for certification make it the programme of choice for organisations wanting to:
With a unique combination of farm-level standards, Chain of Custody certification and a strong focus on data integrity, Regenagri ensures every claim is credible, every certificate is trusted, and every product upholds the values of regenerative production.
