What Regenagri Product Certification means

When you see the Regenagri certification logo on a product, whether a pair of jeans or a tin of coffee, it means that the product is third-party certified to the Regenagri standards.

The certification is granted upon third-party annual audits, confirming that:

i) the certified company meets the requirements of the Regenagri standards
ii) the certified products contain or are made from materials originating from Regenagri-certified farms.

Farms are certified to the Regenagri Farm Standards which set requirements for assessing and measuring regenerative practices and their outcomes, including soil health, biodiversity, animal welfare and social impact metrics.

Integrity behind the logo

The Regenagri certification logo is only granted to products that meet our Content and Chain of Custody standards, which set out robust requirements for traceability and product integrity, including:

  • Traceability and Chain of Custody requirements: From the farm to the final product, every organisation that takes legal ownership of or physically handles the material must be certified.
  • Material Segregation and Mass Balance: We require that certified materials are tracked during processing, packing, and transport to ensure they are kept separate from non-certified materials (for segregation), remain fully traceable, and are not substituted. Under the segregation approach, Regenagri-certified material must be kept entirely separate from non-certified materials. Under the mass balance approach, Regenagri-certified materials and non-certified materials may be mixed across different product lines, but verified records must show that the quantity of certified product sold does not exceed the quantity of certified material purchased.
  • Transaction Certificates: Every shipment of goods is validated through a Transaction Certificate which confirms that the products shipped contain Regenagri materials. Transaction Certificates confirm the Chain of Custody.
  • Claims: Any environmental or sustainability claims made about a product are backed by information verified through rigorous third-party certification audits.

Why it matters

Our standards do more than just trace a product; they hold the entire supply chain to a higher level of responsibility.

  • Global Compliance: We ensure that all listed commodities within our system fully comply with European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) requirements.
  • Third-Party Oversight: The entire process is maintained by independent certification bodies, meaning that the claims on the label are backed by objective data, not just marketing.

By choosing products featuring the Regenagri certification logo, you are directly supporting farms and supply chains who are implementing regenerative practices.
