Report highlights Regenagri’s continued growth with focus on integrity and impact

Regenagri’s latest impact report, detailing its 2024 uptake and impact results, highlights healthy growth along with notable carbon footprint reduction by the coffee and cotton farms using its standards.

Focused on developing a regenerative agriculture programme with rigour and integrity at its core, Regenagri has gone from strength to strength since its inception in 2020. In 2024 the programme covered over 1.9 million hectares of farmland; a 67% increase on the previous year.

Continued exceptional growth in uptake

Regenagri also saw a 42% increase in number of farms adopting its programme in comparison with 2023 figures, with growth taking place across all regions and major crops including cotton, coffee, tea and grains. This was accompanied by a 47% increase in number of certified supply chain companies; a positive sign of a healthy and growing demand for Regenagri-certified products.

Promising carbon footprint reduction results for cotton and coffee

The report also shares encouraging examples of carbon footprint reduction from the 329,318 cotton and coffee farms implementing regenerative farming practices using Regenagri standards. Farms have recorded an average annual reduction of carbon footprint of 0.50 tCO2e per Ha for cotton and 1.13 tCO2e per Ha for coffee.

Rewarding farmers for regenerative production

As a fundamental pillar in continued global food security, Regenagri recognises the vital work of those who grow our food and the need to support them to produce in a way that restores and protects the environment.

Regenagri’s Carbon Insetting Programme, developed throughout 2024, intends to provide farmers with an additional financial reward for their essential work. Farmers earn carbon insetting units in return for their regenerative efforts, in which supply chain operators and brands can invest to reduce their carbon footprint within their own supply chains.

Raising the bar on integrity

Regenagri is working to continually raise the bar on integrity. In 2024 it introduced a new due diligence and risk assessment process.

It has also expanded the range of products it covers, including tea, rice and natural rubber.

Franco Costantini, Regenagri CEO says:

“Thanks to the hard work of the whole Regenagri team, I’m pleased to share our latest impact report which includes our 2024 results, updates on our integrity developments, and exciting future plans.

“We have worked very hard to strengthen the quality of our programme and I’m delighted to share positive data on the impact that Regenagri farms have achieved.

“We’re also proud to include in this report stories from our expanding network of farming and brand partners in the Regenagri programme. The incredible hard work of those who grow and harvest, process and distribute the products that go into our food and clothes are the people behind Regenagri’s continued success story.”
