Latest standards update
With thanks to the Regenagri partners who took part in a recent round of consultations, we have now updated the following:
- Content Standard
- Chain of Custody: Textiles
- Chain of Custody: Food
The changes to the standards will come into effect on 18 January 2026 (with some exceptions, please see standards documents for details).
We’ve made important updates to transaction certificate requirements and introduced new provisions to reduce the on-site auditing burden on primary processors (ginners) in low-risk regions. We’ve also made some clarifications about certification steps and timelines. See below for more details.
Regenagri Content Standard
The Content Standard guides suppliers to implement and use claims in line with Regenagri standard requirements. It provides a framework for chain of custody requirements for food, feed and textiles.
The updated standard includes additional details about:
- who can be certified under chain of custody – and under which conditions
- certification timelines
- clarifications on requirements for the issuance of transaction certificate and their templates.
Chain of custody for textile and food
These standards are used by supply chains processing Regenagri textile materials and food crops. Based on feedback, we have made changes to the following main areas:
- requirements for senior management responsibilities
- due diligence and clarifications for supplier approval
- animal welfare requirements for first processors
- waste management and chemical control requirements.
We have also included detailed audit and certification steps with applicable timelines and responsibilities.
Regarding the Chain of Custody: Textiles, we have included specific provisions for ginning companies operating in low-risk countries to reduce on-site auditing burdens.
Please see updated standards and procedures documents for all the details.
