Aumento de escala: regenagri ha lanzado una importante actualización de sus normas mientras sigue creciendo a escala mundial.
The regenagri initiative for regenerative agriculture has continuous improvement as a core principle. The newly released version 3.0 of our standard and platform is a reflection of this.
Responding to the development of the regenerative agriculture market, and implementing learnings gained from delivering smallholder projects as well as large scale projects, this new standard will enable a more holistic and accurate view of the regeneration in agricultural settings.
A more context based approach
The new standard addresses both regenerative practices being implemented by farms, and the positive environmental outcomes of those practices, so that assessment against the regenagri criteria provides an accurate picture of the regeneration of the land, supported by robust data.
It also improves upon our ability to contextualise assessment based on the geographical location of a farm and its local ecology. It achieves this by making the criteria assessment and scoring more context specific.
New standard criteria
The standard is made up of 30 criteria which look at various indicators of regeneration including soil health, carbon sequestration, water management and biodiversity. All these indicators are assessed and analysed within the regenagri platform. New or updated criteria within the standard cover the practices and impacts of a range of topics including:
• Water quality
• Biodiversity
• Pollution prevention
• Natural crop protection strategies
• Animal health
• Hedgerows and windbreaks and their impact on soil erosion and biodiversity
• Ratio of animal feed to foraged food
• Conservation areas

This updated version of our standard criteria and platform strengthens the basis of regenagri, both from rigour and scalability perspectives. It will give stakeholders the confidence that a regenagri claim proves they are actively regenerating their land and protecting the agricultural environment for generations to come.
Peterson Control Union are our third-party audit partner, and their on-farm assessments against the regenagri standards helps to add to the robustness of the process, as they certify the data they collect. This is vital for farms and those in their supply chain who wish to make assured regenerative claims or wish to use these data for insetting claims.
